What Customers Say About Advance Wars: Days of Ruin:

Like I said, this game takes the series back to the simplistic (but deep) strategy gameplay that made the first game so great. There are still CO powers, and they still matter, but they are limited.

that isn't the strength of this game. The new darker, more involved story line in "Days of Ruin" did nothing for me.

"Days of Ruin" takes the strategy back to the basics. I've enjoyed every Advance Wars game, but the last DS release was far to dependent overblown CO powers.

Too many of the levels were an exercise in exploiting your own CO powers, or finding a way to neutralize the enemy CO powers. and must be used intelligently.

The first Advance Wars game is one of my favorite portable games ever made, and I do believe this game is its equal.

like the title says, this is the best advance wars yet.tons of levels, good units and nintendo wifi versus. the storylines have never been anything to cheer about in my opinion, and this one has just as unloveable characters but they try a little harder this time to make it decent. i dont buy these for the storylines though so it didnt matter :D

this was my favorie game so far for the ds. Only had to use the internet to help get by two levels but very enjoyable game.

I recently finished the campaign mode for Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (about 25 missions long) and decided to pop in its predecessor, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, just to see how they compared.I was blown away by how much better the presentation had progressed between games--menus, graphics and music in Days of Ruin are far superior to the already great Dual Strike. And more importantly, the game play was further refined. The only drawback to Days of Ruin is the terrible story and dialog, but that's something that Dual Strike also had in spades. If you enjoy tactical RPGs *at all*, or would like to find out if you do or not, go ahead and pick up Advance Wars: Days of Ruin.

I really enjoy military turn based strategy games, and I've particularly enjoyed Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. So there's plenty to do for single-player.Most of the earlier missions I did correctly on the first try, most of the later ones took me a second try to beat. I have no played any previous title in the series so I cannot comment on how this game compares to the other games in the series.Days of Ruin is easy to learn, has a great story, plenty of missions, and the right amount of challenge and fun. The game took me over a month to beat and I only played a handful of the training missions. I love the ranking system, for each mission completed you get a C, B, A, or S rank and are free to replay earlier missions at any time to improve your score. The last mission took me about a week to beat, I must have tried it about a dozen times before I figured out the right way to do it. That was probably the only frustrating mission in the whole game, but it was so rewarding when I finally beat it.Definitely recommend this game.
